Calvin’s Comments:
I consider myself very
fortunate to have lived in an era when so much good music was written. Music of
every description, including the parodies and funny songs. I was attracted to
these type of songs from the first time I heard one. Some of my favorites were
Spike Jones, Homer & Jethro, and Bobby Bare to name a few. I was, and still
am attracted to he sense of the ridiculous, absurd, and bizarre. I hope you
might share some of this with me.
(My comments: Many of us in the traditional and ol’time music circles have anxiously awaited for Calvin to record the funny songs he’s played and sung to us over the years at club meetings, concerts, festivals, campouts and at Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View...
This is it. It was worth the wait. If you’ve heard them before, you already know you want this CD. If you haven’t heard them before, give yourself a lasting chuckle and get one right now! Justin Marquez)
